A Lifetime in the Horse Industry

Randi Thompson’s career in the equine industry spans more than four decades and reflects hands-on experience across instruction, competition, program development, and professional training. She has served as a riding instructor, clinician, evaluator, and industry leader, working with riders and professionals at every stage of development.

Over the course of her career, she has trained and certified hundreds of instructors and equine professionals across multiple states and disciplines, including Dressage, Hunt Seat, Jumpers, Western, Pleasure, and Recreational Riding. Her students and professionals have gone on to earn national and regional titles, reflecting both competitive success and foundational skill development.

As founder of the Horse and Rider Awareness® Programs, Randi developed structured educational models focused on rider clarity, communication, and safety. These programs emphasized not only performance outcomes but decision-making, accountability, and systematic progression within equine instruction.

This breadth of experience ultimately led to the creation of the Equine Safety and Success Guide™, and the formation of the Equine Safety and Success Network™, both designed to provide structured, standards-based frameworks that strengthen operational clarity, documentation practices, and professional defensibility across equine programs.
